Armstrong Hosts Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan Session
Armstrong, BC – The City of Armstrong is inviting residents to participate in a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan information gathering session on April 9, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at City Hall, 3535 Bridge Street, Armstrong, BC.
As part of the FireSmart Program, the City of Armstrong is seeking the community’s input to help develop a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan (CWRP). This plan will guide wildfire risk reduction efforts and support the implementation of FireSmart strategies throughout the community.
Residents are encouraged to share their experiences, concerns, and priorities related to wildfire risks and preparedness. Community feedback will play a key role in informing strategies to better protect Armstrong from the threat of wildfires. Light refreshments will be provided.
Residents unable to attend the session in person can complete an online survey through the City’s website at (https://cityofarmstrong.bc.ca/firesmart/). Paper copies are available at City Hall.
The development of the CWRP is made possible through funding from the Union of BC Municipalities Community Resiliency Investment Program, in partnership with the Province of BC. The Plan is scheduled to be completed in September 2025.
