the City of Armstrong holds General Municipal Elections every three years in accordance with the Local Government Act. The next General Election takes place on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Residents will then elect one mayor and six Councillors to represent the City and two school trustees to represent the School District 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) board. City of Armstrong General Municipal Election Bylaw If you are interested in running in the 2011 General Municipal Elections as a candidate please contact one of the Election Official at the City Hall for papers. Deadline to submit candidate papers is October 14, 2011, at 4:00 pm at the City of Armstrong's office or via fax at 250-546-3710. |

Please bring in the completed Mail Ballot Voting Application, prior to 4:00 pm November 17, 2011 along with two pieces of identification. The City of Armstrong will send out mail ballot packages commencing on November 9, 2011. To be counted for the election your mail ballot must be received by the Chief Election Officer no later than 8:00 pm on November 19, 2011. |
