Armstrong Activates Stage Two Water Restrictions
Armstrong, BC—The City of Armstrong is activating Stage 2 Water Conservation Restrictions effective at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Fortune Creek watershed has been elevated to Provincial Drought Level 4. The City of Armstrong is moving to stage 2 water conservation measures to reduce adverse impacts to residents and the environment.
Compliance with water conservation measures is mandatory for all residents within the following specified areas:
- City of Armstrong
- Pleasant Valley Water Works District
- Round Prairie Waterworks District
- Highland Park Waterworks District
- Stardell Waterworks District
- Silver Star Waterworks District
- Lansdowne Waterworks Districts
- Residents of Spallumcheen receiving City of Armstrong water
Water Conservation Bylaw 1926, 2024, outlines which days residents are permitted to water with sprinklers, drip irrigation, or by hand:
- Tuesday and/or Saturday if their property has an ADDRESS ENDING IN 00-49.
- Monday and/or Wednesday if their property has an ADDRESS ENDING IN 50-99.
- NO irrigation BETWEEN 10 AM AND 6 PM ANY DAY.
- Irrigation is permitted for a maximum of THREE hours.
Customers using a watering can or hose with a spring-loaded nozzle may hand water up to two days a week except during the hours of 10 AM to 6 PM.
