Home to one of British Columbia’s largest agriculture fair, the Interior Provincial Exhibition, Armstrong and the surrounding community have exactly what you’re looking for when it comes to family-fun.  Visit a local farmer’s market, enjoy delicious homemade baked goods at local coffee shops, find a hidden gem at one of the many antique shops. Whether you enjoy a quiet day amongst the trees, or an exciting day with family, Armstrong has a variety of outdoor activities to explore within a 10-minute walk of one another.

Heritage and History

Memorial Park – Located adjacent to the downtown core, invite the family for a picnic lunch and play in the water at the spray park or on the all-ages playground. Memorial park has a skateboard park, indoor walking track, age-friendly exercise equipment, the Cenotaph memorial, picnic tables and open grass areas.

Facilities

Armstrong Spallumcheen Outdoor Pool – An exquisite outdoor heated facility that is open from late May to (approximately) September 1st. The pool offers a complete learn-to-swim program during July and August with hours set aside for the enjoyment of swimming in an outdoor atmosphere. Water-lovers of all ages can enjoy this outdoor treasure. Public swimming information can be obtained from 250-546-9456.

The City of Armstrong municipal office will be closed for the Christmas holiday Monday, December 26, 2022 to Monday January 2, 2023. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
