Notice of Consideration
Zoning Bylaw No. 1921, 2024, Amendment Bylaw No. 1941, 2025
Date of Notice: August 1, 2025
Pursuant to Sections 464 and 467 of the Local Government Act, notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Armstrong will consider first, second and third readings, and adoption of, Zoning Bylaw No. 1921, 2024, Amendment Bylaw No. 1941, 2025 at its August 11, 2025 Regular Meeting at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers – 3535 Bridge Street, Armstrong, B.C.
This bylaw proposes to amend Zoning Bylaw No. 1921, 2024 in response to an application for 3785 Murray Drive to change the zoning from Country Residential (CR.1) to Residential Medium Density (R.1) on a portion of the property. This would permit the subdivision of residential lots. This proposal aligns with the Official Community Plan designation of Single/Two Unit Residential.
Pursuant to Section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, the City is prohibited from holding a public hearing regarding the proposed bylaw. Consistent with provincial legislation, members of the public are not permitted to address Council regarding the proposed bylaw during the Council meeting.
More information on the proposed bylaw is available on the City’s website at www.cityofarmstrong.bc.ca, and at City Hall from August 1 to 11, 2025 during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
