City Of Armstrong Reminds Drivers To Park Responsibly &
Legally During The Interior Provincial Exhibition

The City of Armstrong welcomes everyone to enjoy this year’s Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE). To help keep our community safe during the fair, all drivers are required to park legally and responsibly.

The City’s Bylaw Compliance Department will be actively monitoring parking throughout the event. Please take care to follow all parking regulations. Violations may result in a ticket and/or your vehicle being towed.

Parking violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Parking in a no-parking zone, which are designated by the City of Armstrong
  • Parking within 3 meters of a driveway
  • Obstructive parking (parking on a street with a centre line except in clearly marked parking spaces)
  • Parking within 6 meters of an intersection or stop sign
  • Parking within 15 meters of a railway track
  • Parking within 5 meters of a fire hydrant

To ensure public safety, keep traffic flowing smoothly, and allow emergency vehicles to move through all areas without delay, parking rules will be strictly enforced. We encourage all fairgoers to follow these regulations, show kindness to one another, and help make the IPE a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Here are some parking options for fairgoers:

  1. Public Parking Lots: the City provides two public parking lots, highlighted in red in the map below.

  2. Downtown Signage: In partnership with the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce, directional signage will be posted throughout the downtown core to guide visitors to official IPE parking areas. Maps can be accessed by scanning the QR code in the image below and on the posted signs, or by visiting this link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/16MPno35BBXGPV8q7?g_st=ig.

  3. Non-Profit Fundraiser Lots: several local non-profit groups offer parking as a fundraising initiative, charging a minimal fee. Parking in these lots not only offers convenience but also supports important community organizations that benefit from IPE-related fundraising.
