Every four years, Armstrong residents choose their mayor, six councillors, and a school trustee. These elected leaders make decisions that affect daily life, including local bylaws, city services, and how taxpayer dollars are invested.
Voters will elect: one mayor, six councillors and one school trustee.
Those elected will serve a four-year term from 2026 to 2030.

August 2026: Nomination packages available
August 26, 2026: Candidate information session. (City Hall 6:30 p.m.)
September 1–11, 2026: Candidate nomination period
September 11, 2026: Declaration of candidates
September 19-October 17, 2026: Campaign period
October 7 & 14, 2026: Advance Voting (8 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
October 17, 2026: General Voting Day (8 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
October 21, 2026: Declaration of Official Results
November 2, 2026: Inaugural Council Meeting
Provincial Election Information
Local elections are an important way for residents to have a say in how their community is run. The Mayor and Councillors make decisions about things like community planning, roads and infrastructure, parks and recreation, and local services. School Trustees help guide decisions about public education in the district.
