Construction to begin on Pleasant Valley Boulevard North Improvements
Armstrong, BC – The City of Armstrong is pleased to announce that construction will soon begin on improvements to Pleasant Valley Boulevard (PV Blvd.) North), marking the start of the first phase of the City’s downtown revitalization initiative.
Following a competitive bidding process, the City has awarded this project to Chapman Industries Ltd. (“Chapman”), a local general contractor specializing in road and highway construction. Chapman Industries Ltd. will provide a team of specialized contractors to deliver the full scope of the project. Importantly, the successful bid and project planning allow the work to proceed within the approved budget, ensuring the revitalization moves forward in a fiscally responsible manner.
A pre-construction meeting with the City and Chapman will take place the week of March 16th to review construction schedule and timelines along with other project specific considerations. Once finalized, the construction schedule will be communicated out to the public. It is anticipated that site mobilization will commence near the end of March with construction commencing thereafter.
The City will provide updates as the project progresses, including construction schedules, traffic impacts and other important information. Updates will be shared through the City’s website, social media channels and direct communication with impacted businesses. Specific to the City website, there is a page dedicated to the CARI project where updates will be shared (www.cityofarmstrong.bc.ca/cari)
