Bradley Creek Wildfire Update –
Evacuation Alert Remains in Effect for Affected Properties

Armstrong, B.C. — The City of Armstrong is providing the following update regarding the Bradley Creek Wildfire. At this time, there are no changes to the current status.

The properties currently under Evacuation Alert remain on Alert. An Evacuation Alert is intended to provide residents with advance notice to prepare to leave their property on short notice should conditions change and an Evacuation Order become necessary.

The City of Armstrong Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) remains activated and continues to monitor the situation closely. City staff continue to work in close coordination with the BC Wildfire Service, the Township of Spallumcheen, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), and other response agencies and neighbouring communities to ensure a coordinated response.

Residents in the Evacuation Alert area are reminded to:

• Be prepared to leave on short notice if an Evacuation Order is issued.
• Ensure all household members know the evacuation plan and designate a meeting place if separated.
• Pack essential items, including government-issued identification, medications, eyeglasses, important documents, immediate care needs for dependents, and other necessities.
• Make arrangements for pets and livestock, if applicable.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled and transportation is available for all household members.
• Consider arranging accommodation with family or friends should an evacuation become necessary.
• Continue to monitor official City of Armstrong communication channels and Alertable for updates.

For the most accurate, reliable and up-to-date information regarding the City’s response, residents are encouraged to rely on the City’s official communication channels. Evacuation Alerts and Orders will be posted to the City’s website, social media channels, and issued through the Alertable Notification System though the app.
