Precautionary Water Quality Advisory

Due to low chlorine residuals in the water, the City of Armstrong has issued a Precautionary Water Quality Advisory, effective immediately, for the City of Armstrong and the following water districts: Highland Park, Landsdowne, Round Prairie, Silver Star, Stardel, and Pleasant Valley.

People with weakened immune systems, and/or requiring additional protection, should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for:

  • Drinking
  • Brushing teeth
  • Washing fruits and vegetables
  • Making beverages or ice
  • Preparing food
  • Use distilled or bottled water as an alternative to boiling water

The City of Armstrong is currently flushing water lines and conducting continuous testing until safety thresholds for free chlorine are met throughout the distribution system.
