ARMSTRONG ACTIVATES STAGE TWO WATER RESTRICTIONS

Effective 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the City of Armstrong is activating Stage 2 Water Conservation Restrictions.

These restrictions are being implemented in response to the Provincial Drought Rating for our region and are intended to help reduce water consumption during the dry season. By conserving water now, residents can help protect local water supplies and ensure sufficient water is available for essential community needs throughout the summer months.

Compliance with these restrictions is mandatory for all residents in the following areas:

  • City of Armstrong
  • Pleasant Valley Local Area Service
  • Round Prairie Local Area Service
  • Highland Park Local Area Service
  • Stardell Local Area Service
  • Silver Star Local Area Service
  •  Lansdowne Local Area Service
  • Residents of Spallumcheen receiving City of Armstrong water

 

Per City Bylaw 1926, 2024, Stage 2 Water Use and Conservation Restrictions are as follows:

 Watering Schedule

  • Addresses ending in 00–49: Tuesdays and Saturdays
  • Addresses ending in 50–99: Mondays and Wednesdays

 

Irrigation Times

  • Manual Irrigation: Between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. on designated days
  • Automated Irrigation Systems: Between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. (maximum of 3 hours) on designated days

 

Handheld Watering

  • Permitted at any time, using a handheld container or hose with a shut-off nozzle

The City will issue updates, including notification when Stage 1 Water Conservation measures are reinstated. In the meantime, all residents are asked to actively support water conservation efforts.
