Armstrong, B.C. — The City of Armstrong will move to Stage 3 Water Conservation Restrictions effective at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, August 14, 2026, in response to continued drought conditions, prolonged hot and dry weather, and increased pressure on local water resources.

The City has been operating under Stage 2 Water Conservation Restrictions since June 4, 2026. While water consumption has decreased under Stage 2, ongoing drought conditions and limited precipitation continue to impact the City’s water supply.

Moving to Stage 3 will further reduce non-essential outdoor water use and help preserve the community’s water supply through the remainder of the summer.

Under Stage 3 restrictions, automatic and manual sprinkler watering is prohibited. Drip irrigation and hand watering are permitted on designated watering days, in accordance with the City’s Water Use and Conservation Bylaw.

Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Stage 3 requirements and continue making water conservation a priority.

The City appreciates the community’s continued efforts to reduce water consumption and help protect Armstrong’s water supply during these exceptionally dry conditions.
