Zoning Bylaw Update


Notice is hereby given that City of Armstrong Council will consider 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
reading of proposed Zoning Bylaw No. 1921, 2024 under Section 464(2) & 467 of the
Local Government Act. The meeting will be held at 5:00 pm June 24, 2024, at 3535
Bridge St, Armstrong.

City of Armstrong Zoning Bylaw No. 1921, 2024, is an update of Zoning Bylaw No. 1770,
2015 to bring the City into compliance with section 481.3 [zoning bylaws and small-scale
multi-family housing] of the Local Government Act:

While the new zoning bylaw will apply to all parcels in the Community, the changes are
focused on what are considered restricted residential zones. The bylaw permits the
densities required by the Local Government Act. All residential zones in the City will be
amended, to varying degrees. In addition, the bylaw includes a new Schedule A, Zoning
Map.

Copies of the proposed Bylaw and relevant documents may be reviewed on the
website www.cityofarmstrong.bc.ca or at the office of the City of Armstrong from June
7, 2024 through June 24, 2024, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday
through Friday.
